“Marvelous are the ways of the Lord, no one has the right to ask why in this way not other ways ” [Fr. Gregory]. The Congregation of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Sacred Heart [FMSC] had it’s foundation on April 21st of the year 1861 at Gemona del Friuli comune (Municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Drawing the inspiration for laying the foundation from the noble french woman Laura Leroux, Duchess of Bauffremont and it was realized and nurtured by Father Gregory Fioravanti of Grotte Di Castro, humble Franciscan minor.
The outbreak of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has
created a global health crisis that has had a deep impact
on the way we perceive our world and our everyday lives.
Not only the rate of infection and patterns of transmission
threatens our sense of action, but the safety measures put in place to contain the spread of the virus also require social distancing by refraining from doing what is inherently human, which is to find solace in the company of others.
