Final Profession
29 June 2020
You have called me, Here I am Lord
June 29th 2020 is an exrtra ordinary day for our Holy Family Province as five of our sisters Sr. Nlmani Bara Sr. Tara Bara, Sr. Asha Rajni Kullu, Sr. Veronica Tirkey and Sr. Prasanthi Pilli pronounced their perpetual YES to God which means they are resolved to commit themselves radically to Christ for life by living the Evangelical Councils of poverty, chastity and obedience. They have abandoned themselves in the hands of their spouse after having lived with Him six to seven years and experienced His love and concern.
With the effect of the corona pandemic this celebration has lost its arranged dates and shapes and the Lord wants it in His own way and the date was decided according to His will that the day dedicated for two of His beloved disciples, St. Peter and St. Paul, the pillars of His Church. And it also has its impact on them as two of them Sr. Tara and Sr. Asha Rajni had their perpetual profession ceremonies done at Tellakom in Kerala and other three, Sr. Nilmani, Sr. Veronica and Sr. Prasanthi in Vjayawada Andhra Pradesh. As the very step to the Congregation was a test for them to practice the words of Our Founder, Venerable Fr. Gregory, that no one has the right to ask why in this way and not otherwise. They bow their head to their Spouse and proved that their words are firm and their steps are steady.
The celebration was very simple but enriching and very calm following thoroughly the guidelines of lockdown. “If you have decided to serve God, prepare yourself for trials. Keep your heart upright and remain resolute. Do not be upset in the time of adversity. Hold fast to the Lord and do not separate yourself from Him…….”Quoting the words from the book of Sirach, the main celebrant advised them to face everything holding the helping hands with trust and faith.
The meaningful offertory items once again reminded of them of the Charism of the congregation that they are to proclaim the mystery of Jesus Christ Crucified, from His pierced Heart draw a redemptive love, profound benevolence and apostolic zeal for all humanity, become a helping hand and a guiding lamp to all our brothers and sisters in need of your healing touch and consoling presence, particularly the afflicted, the grieved, the indigent, the tortured , the diseased, the distressed and the destitute. The melodious singing and the soft music give beauty to the celebration and elevated everyone.
The celebration came to its conclusion with the felicitation of the newly professed and a delicious meal. At the close of the day we once again raised our hearts and joined our hands in thanksgiving for all the benefits received from His bounty.
